Because we're a painting company first, siding damage usually turns up during exterior painting estimates, when Jose walks the house looking for anything that shouldn't be painted over. The replacement happens before painting begins, and the new boards get painted along with the rest of the house. Jose walks the house in person and marks every board that needs to go. Removal and a Look Behind the Boards

Damaged boards come off carefully so the sound siding around them isn't cracked in the process, and boards are removed in sections so a wall isn't left open overnight. With the boards off, the sheathing and weather barrier behind them are checked for rot, water staining or tears. If damage has spread past the boards, you see it before anything is covered back up.

Installing HardiePlank or Cedar

New boards are cut to length and fastened so they line up with the existing courses.
