Weatherboard farmhouses near the Efland-Cedar Grove Road crossroads and newer homes on open land all take a beating from sun and weather. Our Mebane office is 18 minutes away on NC-119.

Cedar Grove is farm country with a National Register crossroads at its center, and its houses range from 1800s farmhouses to manufactured homes on open acreage.
The Cedar Grove Rural Crossroads Historic District covers 125 acres along Efland-Cedar Grove Road and Carr Store Road, with buildings from the early 1800s to 1947. Its farmhouses include two-story I-houses and triple-A houses in weatherboard and brick. The Capt. John S. Pope Farm's I-house dates to the early 1870s. Houses this age carry many layers of old paint, so prep is slow and careful.
The district's own nomination describes pasture and cultivated fields framed by woodland. A house surrounded by open fields gets full sun and wind on at least one side, and that wall usually fades and chalks first. We check each elevation separately rather than assuming the whole house wears evenly.
About one in five homes in the Cedar Grove area is a mobile or manufactured home. Their siding and trim materials differ from a wood farmhouse, so the prep and products differ too. Tell us the home type when you call.

Questions? Call Us(336) 512-0981We quote Cedar Grove houses by the hours the job takes, and Jose sets a fixed price after he walks the property. A two-story weatherboard farmhouse with a wraparound porch and decades of paint takes far more prep than a newer ranch of the same size, so square footage alone tells you little. Walking the property costs you nothing, and Jose normally has the written price to you the same day. Set up a farmhouse walkthrough or call 336-512-0981.
