Interior Painting
Plaster, drywall, wide original casings and deep baseboards each want their own prep.
Room-by-room interior work

Roca’s Painters runs out of Mebane, 53 minutes west on I-40, and Raleigh work splits two ways: weatherboard and porch trim on the older streets, newer two-stories out north. Jose Roca prices each one himself.

Raleigh holds two housing stories, and a quote that treats them the same is wrong on one of them.
Oakwood runs from 1880 to 1940 and is mostly frame covered with weatherboard. Boylan Heights, Cameron Park and Glenwood-Brooklyn are bungalow and Colonial Revival country from the early 1900s. Those houses carry porch ceilings, column bases, deep trim and plenty of profiles to cut in, and that is hours rather than materials.
Hayes Barton dates from the 1920s through the early 1950s, and Hi-Mount and Cameron Village are late 1930s to early 1950s Minimal Traditional, Cape Cod and ranch houses. The city’s own records note that original wood, brick veneer and asbestos siding on these blocks has often been covered with vinyl or aluminum, so what gets painted is frequently not what was built.
Out past the Beltline, in the 1990s and 2000s neighborhoods such as Wakefield and Falls River, the work changes completely: builder-grade trim paint, vinyl shutters, garage doors and an architectural committee with a view on color. We ask for the approved palette before quoting.
They call it the City of Oaks for a reason, and mature canopy keeps north walls damp and slow to dry. Muggy weather runs from mid-May into early October, and pine pollen peaks from late March into early April, thick enough in 2024 to set a state record. Exterior scheduling works around both.
Interior and exterior projects from our regular service area, the same kind of work we bring to Raleigh.
Jose visits your Raleigh home, looks over the surfaces, and talks through colors, sheens and scope.
You receive one fixed price in writing, usually the same day as the visit.
Furniture, floors and landscaping are covered or moved, and surfaces are washed, scraped and patched.
Finish coats applied with hand-cut lines, using Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore or PPG paint.
We inspect the finished work with you before we go.
From our home base on Giles Street in Mebane, we bring family-owned quality to homes across Alamance and Orange counties and out to Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh.
Questions? Call Us(336) 512-0981No square-foot rate produces an honest Raleigh number, because hours are what we sell and the house decides those. A 1915 Oakwood place with porch ceilings and deep trim can run twice the labor of a newer north Raleigh house of the same floor area. Rot repair and ceiling work push it further, so raise both at the visit. The figure Jose sets after that walk holds.
